California Indian Casino Gambling Age
Overnight RV parking for the traveling gambler is permitted by many California casinos, so if you're planning a California casino trip you can make quite a few stops and stay a while. Gamblers in California must be a minimum of 18 years old. If however, alcohol is served there, the age is 21 and beyond. Many casinos close to L.A. And San Diego have over 2,000 slot machines, and over 100 table games in beautiful resort settings. In fact, two Southern California casinos, the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, and Pechanga Resort & Casino, are two of the top ten biggest casinos in the United States.

- California is a very gambling-friendly state, and recognizes 18-year-olds as adults (rightfully so), making them one of the few states that allow 18+ casino gambling. This being the case, the state’s gambling laws do permit casino properties to allow entrance to the casino floor to players who are 18 and over.
- Generally age 21. Although for parimutuel betting (horse-racing & things where the betting money is pooled) & the Lottery, the age is 18. If you're under 21 don't try it; if you're caught you can be charged with a misdemeanor (& possibly another criminal charge for falsely representing yourself as over 21).
Barona Resort and Casino is an Indian casino on the Barona Indian Reservation located in Lakeside, in San Diego County in California. It is owned and operated by the Barona Group of Capitan Grande Band of Mission Indians.[2]
Casino[edit]
Barona offers guests over 75 table games including blackjack, poker, Pai gow poker, Mississippi Stud, California-style craps (using playing cards to determine the outcome of a roll rather than only dice, as dice-only games are not allowed in California tribal casinos), roulette and over 2,500 slot and video poker machines. Barona is located between Lakeside and Ramona, 30 miles northeast of downtown San Diego.
The legal gambling age at Barona Casino is 18.[3] While the legal age for gambling in California is also 18, many tribal casinos in California set an age limit of 21 in order to comply with their alcohol license.[4]
Unlike most casinos, Barona does not offer alcoholic beverages on the casino floor. It does offer alcoholic beverages in the Barona Oaks Steakhouse, Italian Cucina, and the plaza restaurant. According to leaders of Barona Casino, the winding and hilly nature of Wildcat Canyon Road, which serves as the main access route into Barona Indian Reservation, is a primary factor that led to this decision.[5]
